Brainstorming Beliefs

PART ONE:

The purpose of life is to create.

All living things are connected.

The most interesting creative work comes from exploring personal truths.

Dogs are better than cats.

TV/Games/Internet are rotting our brains.

There should be a safety net that allows people to try and to fail without deathly consequences.

A good story connects with people more than statistics do.

PART TWO:

The purpose of life is to create.
How did this idea form? Been thinking a lot about the purpose of life type questions. I think that people are happiest when they are creating things. These are the types of things that others respond to. It doesn’t even have to be just Art. It can be coming up with new knowledge or figuring out a new way to do something. But is does have to have some creativity in it. I am not talking about assembly line type work.

How firmly do i believe it? It has become a core belief.

Why do i maintain it? It keeps me going. Gives me a reason to get up in the morning.

What would make me change my belief? Not sure what it would take. I’d like to listen to other people talk about what they think about it. What motivates them. Maybe I would be convinced that creativity is just my purpose and not that of others. But who knows.
